When you think of a trip to Las Vegas, gambling immediately comes to mind. However, there’s far more to do in Vegas than trying to win at the roulette table. You’ll also find plenty of other reasons to pay a visit.

It’s on the bucket list of dream travel destinations for many, so let’s look at some of the best that Vegas has to offer.

Sport

Going to Las Vegas can be highly entertaining if you love sporting action. There have been many great boxing fights staged in Las Vegas. It’s always lucrative for the casinos that stage the fights. There’s not just all the ticket revenue, but the fight fans spend a fair amount at the gaming tables, too.

NFL fans can now enjoy a great weekend visiting all the sights and attending a Las Vegas Raidersmatch. There’s plenty of ice-hockey action, too, and in November, F1 thrills and spills comes to town with the first Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The Casinos

A trip to Las Vegas wouldn’t be complete without going to their legendary casinos. Vegas had a tough time when the pandemic caused casinos to close their doors temporarily. The gambling industry has taken a while to recover, but the Vegas casinos are gradually returning to pre-pandemic numbers.

Casino gaming runs around the clock in Vegas, whether you’re a fan of traditional games like roulette and blackjack or prefer to transfer youronline pokerskills to live poker games.

There’s so much available for casino lovers, whether it’s the MGM Grand, WynnEncore or Mandalay Bay. Games galore, line after line of slot machines and some massive cash prizes to be won. It’s the dream of every gambler to at least try their luck in Las Vegas at least once in their life.

Visiting a Las Vegas casino isn’t just about trying to get some big wins. You can always expect there to be a star-studded set of performers in residence. The list has previously included Sir Elton John, Britney Spears, Adele and Celine Dion. And in the old days, there was Elvis Presley and the Rat Pack. That’s bound to put a smile back on your face if it hasn’t gone well at the tables.

Adele is just coming to the end of her run in Vegas. Barry Manilow can be seen throughout the year at the Westgate International Theatre, where he’s performed over 400 times. That might be more entertaining for females, but guys have many choices, too. Foreigner and Sting are both in residency this year

With Sir Rod Stewart, Santana, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey and Garth Brooks also scheduled to appear, Las Vegas is the world’s entertainment capital.

Madame Tussauds

It’s not just in London that you can visit a Madame Tussauds waxworks museum. There’s also one in Las Vegas, with wax versions of celebrities aplenty. You can pose with the models on show at Madame Tussauds.

Your friends might believe for a second that you really were photographed alongside Stevie Wonder or Miley Cyrus (complete with her wrecking ball) though Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley might take a bit of explaining.

If you or your family are fans of Iron Man or The Avengers, then you’ll love the Marvel 4D experience. There’s also a gondola ride to enjoy, so there is something for everyone at this attraction.

Take a Tour

Sightseeing is going to be high on your list when going to Las Vegas. That doesn’t just mean taking a leisurely journey down the Las Vegas Strip. Why not see some great sights from way up high in a helicopter?   You can see just how spectacular Las Vegas looks at night time. Just imagine how great all those lit-up casinos and hotels look in the evening.

During the day, you can take a bus trip to the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam Bypass. Great sights to see and a BBQ lunch is included too.

Are you a pinball wizard? Las Vegas is home to some speciality museums, and lovers of pinball just have to pay this attraction a visit. Created by the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club, it’s packed with classic pinball machines going all the way back to the 1950s.

Other speciality museums include a tribute to Princess Diana exhibition, a Burlesque Hall of Fame and even a Museum of Selfies.

You can see, therefore, that there’s more to Las Vegas than trying to win a fortune in the casinos. You’ll return home with tales about waxworks, pinballs, the Grand Canyon, great concerts and major sporting events.
