A Campbelltown woman has discovered that winning a major prize can come with a few side effects after a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win left her shaking, crying and light-headed.

The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10677, drawn Monday 12 September 2022.

The winner was oblivious to her win and completing some household chores when an official from The Lott called to confirm her prize.

“Are you kidding me? You must be kidding me! Is this a joke? No!” she cried happily.

“I am shaking. I have the shakes! Now I’m crying. Oh my gosh!

“I feel light-headed. I feel a bit nauseous. You don’t know what this means to me.

“This is great, darl. This is enormous! It changes everything – my entire life!

“These past few years have been tough for my family. We’ve struggled a lot in many ways.

“To be frank, it’s un-f***ing believable!

“You’ve made my day, my week, my year!

“I’m not cooking dinner tonight anymore. It’s takeaway for dinner! I’ll be calling all my family to break the news, too.

“We’ll go on a weekend getaway to celebrate – somewhere outside the state. Then, next year, we’ll plan a trip overseas – maybe somewhere with snow!”

Her winning entry of two random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $14.45 million for draw 1591, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $27.06 million for draw 10679.

In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
