The Fremont Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas has finished the final phase of its $50 million renovation. According to casino representatives cited by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Boyd Gaming-operated property on the Fremont Street Experience has introduced a new casino floor with a 'more open floor plan' and higher ceilings, as well as a renovated hotel lobby and casino bar.

The work was a continuation of a previously announced property renovation that began in late 2022. Earlier in January, Fremont Casino celebrated the rebranded FanDuel Sportsbook and the debut of 10,000 square feet of additional gaming space. The renovations also include a six-stall food hall.

The new casino space consists of about 120 games and has taken over the former buffet section of the property, while the food hall was built on a former parking lot on Third Street. An entrance and a patio were added along Third Street, which the city rebuilt as a pedestrian mall that creates access to the Fremont Street Experience from Ogden Avenue.

Once we’re done, the entire Fremont casino will have the look and feel of this expanded casino space that you see — a modern, exciting new design for one of downtown’s most legendary properties,” Executive Vice President of Operations Steve Thompson said back in January. Boyd, at the time, had also renovated the casino rooms.

The refurbished casino property also has new and replaced tiles and carpeting, along with contemporary artwork on display.
