Hyderabad: ED Conducts Raids On Casino Dealers In Eight Locations

ED conducted raids on the premises of two agents accused of using hawala channels to transfer prize money from gaming. The agents hired customers from Hyderabad, Guntur and Vijayawada to play casino games in a town close to Siliguri on Indo-Nepal Border from June 10 to June 13. ED officials found that Rs 3 lakhs have been collected from each customer for this.
The Enforcement Directorate has carried out raids at the houses of casino dealers and agents in eight locations in Hyderabad. The agents hired customers from Hyderabad, Guntur and Vijayawada to play casino games in Nepal. They collected Rs 3 lakhs from each customer. ED found that they had entered into an agreement with some Sri Lankan casino companies.
