Holland Casino cannot advertise its retail locations via its online gambling business. The gambling watchdog, Kansspelautoriteit, probed into the vendor's operations back in October 2021. It found that the online business could have contained advertisements or links to the retail casinos. This is in breach of the current regulations. Holland Casino has taken steps to discontinue the advertising.

Smart Gaming B.V. has been granted a license to run gambling products in the Netherlands. The regulator, Dutch Gambling Authority, did not go into details about the company. Smart Gaming will probably be making the names of the websites it seeks to launch in Netherlands known soon. Last week, the Dutch regulator approved ComeOn Group for launch. The Netherlands is taking a hard look at how it regulates gambling. It is questioning whether its operators are doing enough to safeguard consumers. They are also planning to roll out the ZonMw Prevention of Gambling Addiction program.

The Dutch Gambling Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, will conduct a research into gambling harm and problem gambling between 2022 and 2025. Government health research financing organisation ZonMw was commissioned in August 2020 to develop the research programme. The KOA Act will launch a re-regulated online betting market in the Netherlands on 1 October 2021.

Kansspelautoriteit has found increasing cases of lottery operators providing unlicensed products. Lotteries are not allowed to provide online gaming products such as casino and slot titles. The KSA is concerned about gambling addiction and the prevention of gambling. The provision of games of chance is tightly regulated under the KOA Act.

KSA Tipped about Autoplay Feature in Dutch Online Casino. The Netherlands legalized gambling half a year ago. Since then, the country has been enacting slight changes to its laws.

Dutch court revokes the penalty issued by Kansspelautoriteit to Electronic Arts. The KSA had ruled that EA violated the Dutch Gaming Act by providing gambling products in the video game FIFA. EA argued that the loot boxes and player packs are not gambling because they are part of a wider game and can only be accessed through game play. The court ruled in EA's favour. It also ruled EA did not have to comply with the previous penalty.

Wazdan has had 23 of its player favorite titles certified for the Dutch market. The Netherlands is the 18th jurisdiction that Wazana can enter.

Aspire Global has received certification for its online platform, sportsbook and casino games. Online betting has been legal in the Netherlands since 1 October 2021. Holland Casino has signed a deal to use Aspire's content. Karamba has also signed an agreement to utilise Aspires' suite of services upon entry into the country. The Dutch iGaming market is expected to grow to €1.5bn ($1bn) by 2025.

The regulator launched a central player exclusion register called CRUKS. All gambling operators must connect to CRukS and check if there is a registration there before a guest starts playing. The complete picture of the online market should be expected around July 2022. It is possible that the law could change in order to force the providers to take responsibility. Sweden recently changed the deposit limit and introduced stricter advertising controls.

The Dutch government strictly regulates all legal forms of gambling. The online casino industry is growing and the government should implement new laws and regulations. The Dutch Government should ban or legalize online gambling, either banning or legalizing it.

Dutch market gambling authority, Kansspelautoriteit, has taken action against 15 marketers for illegally selling gambling products.

Kansspelautoriteit has taken action against 15 gambling advertising affiliates for violating the terms of the KOA Gambling Act. The Dutch Gabbling Authority has conducted 22 investigations into the websites. 13 of them have been fined or will be fined in the near future, while two are still under investigation. Some of these affiliates immediately switched to advertising for licensed legal gambling firms. NOGA has criticised the rules regarding online gambling. They argue that the regulations give an unfair advantage to land-based companies.

Canada and the Netherlands have embraced the gambling industry. Some elements of the niche in both jurisdictions are similar, while others differ significantly.

The market for regulated casinos in the Netherlands is more evenly distributed than for illegal ones. The Dutch gambling authority Kansspelautoriteit's goal is to reach 80% channelisation rate by 2024. The study also points out that game and payment providers, affiliates, operators, the KSA and players can assist in channelization drive. It also notes that small-scale illegal casinos could potentially opt not to pay the €1.6 million for a Dutch licence. This could leave players using these unregulated casinos open to uncertified games and an unsafe, non-secure playing environment.

It is possible to legally gamble online in the Netherlands from Friday. The Dutch Gambling Authority issued licenses to ten providers of digital gambling games. They are bound by strict rules to prevent gambling addiction and money laundering. There is a minimum age of 18 to play and advertising for gambling online must not be misleading or lead to excessive gambling.

State-owned companies Nederlandse Loterij and Holland Casino get a licence to offer online gambling in the Netherlands from Friday. Fair Play and BetCity also won licences. Six foreign firms, including four based in Malta, one in UK and one from Belgium, were excluded from the competition.

Sander Dekker wants to stop big international gambling websites from offering Dutch nationals access to their sites. The aim is to ensure that Dutch punters move away from the unlicenced sector and benefit from new Dutch legislation. State owned Holland Casino, lottery group Nederlandse Loterij and JVH, which runs amusement arcades, are among the domestic companies which have applied for a licence to run online gambling companies in the Netherlands. Unibet and Betfair have been excluded from this process.

EGBA supports request to re-establish EU Expert Group on gambling. European Gaming and Betting Association (EGba) believes formal and structured regulatory cooperation between EU Member States is even more important to help protect European consumers. Europe's gambling market is worth more than $118.7 billion each year. There is currently no formal framework for regulatory Cooperation at the EU level. The Expert group was disbanded by the Commission in 2018 despite most gambling regulators considering it to be a success. Maarten Haijer, Secretary-General, EGBA stated that there is no EU framework to communicate and tackle the big issues affecting Europe’s online gambling sector.
