In the last decade Las Vegas has been promoting its own music festival. It's a way to attract a new generation of tourists. Celine Dion's 2003 residency was a big success. The Jonas Brothers, Mötley Crüe and Katy Perry have also done residencies there. The festival is a part of the promotion. Las Las has always been one of America's foremost music cities. Now it's promoting itself as a music city.

In the ‘90s, music festivals would come to Las Vegas. Now they are organized in cities and they have their own identity. In 2013, Penske Media corporation debuted the Life Is Beautiful Festival. This year's festival will take place in downtown Las Las Vega from September 16-18, from 2pm to 1am. It will feature headliners Kanye West and Panic! At The Disco. It's an all-ages festival. There's a heavy emphasis on visual art.

This year's festival will include headliners Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Jack Harlow, Migos, Beach House, Cage the Elephant, Charli XCX, Rico Nasty and Wet Leg. The festival has expanded to include stand-up comedy, including Joel Kim Booster, Hannah Einbinder and Megan Stalter, Sarah Sherman and Latrice Royal. Single days tickets are $180 and $375 for VIP. 3-day passes are $380 and $795 for a VIP weekend.
