These 2 Mississippi Gulf Coast casino hotels among USA Today’s Top 10 for 2023

It’s perhaps something of a surprise that USA Today readers who cast votes for the top 10 casino hotels in the U.S. selected as many from the Mississippi coast -- two -- as they did from Las Vegas.
Nominees for the USA Today’s “10Best” were submitted by a panel of experts in casinos, lifestyle and travel.
From there, 10Best editors narrow the field to a final set of about 20 nominees for which readers can then vote, with voting open for about a month.
Voted as the third-best casino hotel in America is the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi.
“Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi is a luxury waterfront destination on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” 10Best editors wrote. “When guests take a break from 24-hour gaming in the casino, they retire to the tropical pool and rooms and suites that feature panoramic views, plus state-of-the-art technology.”
In 2022, IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi took 7th place in the polling, and was also named to the 10Best in 2020 and 2021. This year, however, IP was left out, with another Biloxi resort taking it’s place.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi took the 7th spot, with editors noting the resort’s “cool coastal views, year-round heated outdoor pool, casino floor excitement, and live festival-style shows under the stars at The Great Lawn.
“When you’re not placing your bets or relaxing in your well-appointed room, grab a classic burger or Southern seafood while enjoying views of Biloxi Beach.”
A Florida resort also made it into the 10Best, with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood taking the 9th spot.
The 400-plus suites at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino feature signature Hard Rock amenities, like “Sleep Like a Rock” bedding, guitar rentals, and the exclusive “Sound of Your Stay” audio program,” editors wrote. “And when you’re not in the large casino, you can enjoy a multitude of on-site restaurants, live entertainment, a spa, and pools.”
For the sixth consecutive year, the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., was voted the best casino hotel in the U.S.
