When you think of Las Vegas, you’ll be forgiven if casinos are the only thing that spring to mind. Sure, millions of people head to Sin City for a spot of gambling, but there is so much more to see and do in the entertainment capital of the world. Music legends across every genre you can think of find their way to Las Vegas. While many stars play one-off shows, others decide to nestle down in the city and launch their own residency. If you’ve booked a trip to Las Vegas this year, here are some of the top music stars residencies you can go and watch.

Adele

We couldn’t kick things off without discussing one of the most famous artists in the world – Adele! The 33-year-old Rolling in the Deep hitmaker announced her ‘Weekends with Adele’ residency, which was set to commence in January 2022. However, the star has put her residency on hold, sighting the COVID-19 pandemic as a significant factor. While she may not be gracing the stage and saying ‘hello’ right now, Adele made clear on the Graham Norton show that her postponed shows will take place at some point this year.

Lionel Richie

Ready to dance All Night Long? Then Lionel Richie’s Las Vegas residency is for you. The American singer-songwriter enjoyed a sold-out and successful residency at Wynn, with the star extending his residency and returning to Las Vegas at the Encore Theater in March and April 2022. Lionel Richie has been on the music scene for over 50 years, carving out a career like no other. If you head to his show, expect to hear hits like Endless Love, Truly, and the ever so catchy, Dancing on the Ceiling.

An accomplished singer, songwriter, and Oscar award-winning actress – is there anything Lady Gaga can’t do? This unique, hugely talented pop superstar descended onto Vegas in 2018 with her Enigma + Jazz & Piano residency. What makes Gaga unique is that she’s performing two completely different themed shows in Sin City. While Enigma is focused on hits like Poker Face and Just Dance, Gaga’s Jazz & Piano show is a more stripped-back affair, where you can expect to hear jazz favorites like New York, New York, and Fly Me to the Moon. If you love the pop side of Lady Gaga, your best bet is to check out her Chromatica Ball coming to London this July, as her upcoming run of shows in Vegas through April and May are her Jazz & Piano show.

Silk Sonic

If Bruno Mars wasn’t enough on his own, the star has teamed up with singer and rapper Anderson. Paak to form the R&B superduo Silk Sonic. The multi-GRAMMY award-nominated duo has made Park MGM their home with their An Evening with Silk Sonic extravaganza. Taking place through March, April, and May, the residency show features chart-topping hits like Fly as Me and Leave the Door Open. If you’re after a show where you can groove and get your feet moving, this is a once-in-a-lifetime show you surely won’t want to miss out on.

If you’re a country lover, you can spend the evening at Keith Urban’s show where you can sing along to chart-toppers like Coming Home, Wasted Time, and Blue Ain’t Your Color.  Tickets start at a very reasonable $60 USD, so there are no excuses not to grab one!

Katy Perry is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge on American Idol. The Teenage Dream songstress has enjoyed a remarkably successful career in music since launching in 2008 with the iconic I Kissed a Girl. With an array of Billboard Hot 100 number 1s and worldwide tours under her belt, Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency ‘PLAY’ kicked off in December 2021. Drawing influences from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Pee-wee’s Playhouse, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Perry says in her own words that the show is a feast for both the ears and eyes. If you’re ready to Roar and Smile, you can check out PLAY at The Theatre at Resorts World, Las Vegas, running through to August 2022.

Usher

The R&B heartthrob Usher is not only an accomplished singer and songwriter, but he knows how to work his way around a dancefloor too. Usher – The Vegas Residency kicked off in July 2021, with the next leg starting from July to October 2022 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Get ready to sing along to Yeah!, Burn, and Confessions Part II. You can also check out Park MGM’S casino floor before the show and play on a range of exciting slots. To get you in the mood for your Las Vegas adventure, why not play some online casino games first?
