Palms Casino-Resort Las Vegas names general manager: Travel Weekly

San Manuel is buying the hotel-casino from Red Rock Resorts in a $650 million deal expected to be be completed later this year.

After holding several leadership positions at MGM Resorts International, Kiser Murphey became president and COO of New York-New York in Las Vegas in 2008. Since 2020, she has served as CEO to a large benefits fund. She holds a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management and a master's degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

"I am humbled to be chosen to lead this exciting endeavor, as the [San Manuel] becomes the first Native American owner and operator of a Las Vegas casino," Kiser Murphey said. "The Palms is an iconic property with a rich connection to the community."

The Palms, which opened in 2001 just west of the Strip, has 700 hotel rooms and suites, a 90,000-square-foot casino, restaurants, meetings and convention space, a 2,500-seat theater and a pool and spa, in addition to the  Palms Place condominiums.

No reopening date has been announced.
