The National Horseplayers Championship is being moved from January to March. The next year's NHC is on March 10-12, 2023 at the rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas. Las Las Vegas hosted the Pac- 12, Big West, Mountain West and West Coast Conference basketball tournaments this year.

NHC returns to same hotel, new name. This year's winner is David Harrison, a real estate appraiser from Webster, NY. He won $725,000 out of the $3.5 million pool. The NHC is the most prestigious handicapping tournament in the world.

There is no NHC buy-in. Every competitor had to win their way in. The top 64 players at this year's N HC earned $10,000 each. Making the final table guaranteed everyone there $50,00.
