Antiquated jackpot reporting threshold close to being raised

$1,200 jackpot reporting threshold has been the threshold since 1977. The threshold is supposed to trigger a hand-pay and take the machine out of service. A bill introduced by the Congressional Gaming Caucus would raise the limit to $5,000. It would also provide guidelines for future increases based on the rate of inflation. It is co-sponsored by U.S. Representatives Mark Amodei (R-Nevada), Steven Horsford (D- Nevada), and Anthony Brown ( D-Maryland). The American Gaming Association (AGA) supports the bill.
