A Florida resident ended up having the golden ticket, winning the $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot, and resetting the pot back down to $20 million.

The winning numbers from Tuesday night’s historic drawing were 13, 19, 20, 32, and 33, as well as 14 in the Mega Ball slot. Incredibly, the $1.58 billion jackpot was the largest in Mega Millions history.

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET. Notably, you need to purchase your ticket(s) prior to the deadline at 9:59 p.m. ET on the night of drawings.

To play Lottery games and claim prizes in Pennsylvania, you must be at least 18 years of age and physically located in PA.

To play Mega Millions, you must begin by either picking your own numbers or by having the terminal randomly select your numbers for you via the Quick Pick function.

If you elect to choose your own numbers, pick five numbers from 1 to 70, along with one number from 1 to 25, which will serve as your Mega Ball.

You may even choose to play up to 26 drawings in advance and/or use the replay function to play an existing ticket to make the same purchase starting with the next drawing.

A traditional Mega Millions ticket will cost you $2, but if you wish to play the Megaplier add-on, it will cost you an extra $1 on your ticket. Let’s discuss how to play the Megaplier:

  • Select to play the Megaplier
  • Watch the Megaplier drawing (just before the regular drawing)
  • Win a non-jackpot prize, multiply it by the Megaplier number

That’s right, the Megaplier add-on will multiply any non-jackpot prize that you may win. Megaplier numbers can be anywhere from 2 to 5.

For example, matching four white balls without a Megaplier will yield you $500. If you play the Megaplier, and the number drawn is 3, matching four white balls would earn you $1,500.

Again, Mega Millions drawings occur every week on Tuesday and Friday nights. Pennsylvania residents can either view results by either visiting the PA Lottery website or by watching the local TV news station. See below:
