Would you like a shot at winning over $1 billion? Well, the current Mega Millions jackpot has one of the biggest annuities in its history.

The next Mega Millions drawing—with an estimated annuity of just over $1 billion—is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1 at 10:59 p.m. ET.

Importantly, you need to purchase your ticket(s) prior to the 9:59 p.m. ET cut-off on Tuesday evening. Mega Millions tickets can be bought either online at the PA Lottery website or at one of your local lottery retailers.

The most recent drawing took place on June 28, and it saw white balls 5, 10, 28, 52, and 63 get picked, along with 18 in the Mega Ball slot and 5 in the Megaplier slot.

To play Mega Millions and give yourself an opportunity to win the $1 billion jackpot, you just need to be 18 years of age or older. To watch Tuesday night’s drawing, check out the local TV listings below:

  • Erie: WJET Ch. 24 Lottery Results at 11:20 p.m.
  • Harrisburg/Lancaster/York: WGAL Ch. 8 Lottery Results at 11:20 p.m.
  • Johnstown/Altoona/State College: WTAJ Ch. 10 Lottery Results at 11:20 p.m.
  • Philadelphia: WTXF Ch. 29 Lottery Results at 11:00 p.m.
  • Pittsburgh: WPXI Ch. 11 Lottery Results at 11:11 p.m.
  • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton: WNEP Ch. 16 Lottery Results at 11:00 p.m.

Fortunately, there isn’t a whole lot to know about playing the Mega Millions. Begin by choosing five numbers from 1 to 70 and one number from 1 to 25, which will serve as your Mega Ball selection. Or, let the terminal randomly pick your numbers for you.

You always have the option of playing the Megaplier for an additional $1 also. In doing so, you’ll give yourself the opportunity to increase your non-jackpot prize winnings.

A single Megaplier ball from 2 to 5 will be drawn just before the regular Mega Millions drawing—and if you win—your non-jackpot prize will be multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn.

Know that a standard Mega Millions ticket costs $2, and playing the Megaplier will add another $1 to the cost.

If you happen to win a prize from playing Mega Millions, claim it by completing the following steps:

  • Prize of $600 or less: Prizes are automatically paid to your Lottery account, and you can request a withdrawal using a variety of methods.
  • Prize of $600-$2,500: Complete and submit a Claim Form.
  • Prize of $2,500 or more: Can only be paid by the Lottery. Mail a completed Claim Form or claim your ticket worth more than $2,500 in person at a Lottery Area Office.
