Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Is Undergoing a Renovation

As Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino turns 25 next year, the 120-acre property is slated to feel fresher than ever thanks to a massive remodel.
The resort's three hotels — Mandalay Bay, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, and Delano Las Vegas — are upgrading the guest rooms. Four Seasons Hotel just completed a renovation of its 424 rooms, which now display cooler Earth tones and natural wood, stone, and metals. (The hotel also added an outpost of Kalologie Medspa, which features a private treatment room with services like microneedling and IV therapy.)
Mandalay Bay also updated its two-story, four-bedroom, 5,605-square-foot presidential suite. It is slated to overhaul its Delano Tower and Mandalay Bay Tower rooms in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
In the pipeline is a new adult-only mini golf experience called Swingers. According to Bowling, the 40,000-square-foot entertainment complex will have five 9-hole miniature golf courses and clubhouses throughout the space. "We think it’s going to create another level of energy and excitement for those visiting the casino," Chuck Bowling, Mandalay Bay’s President and COO, told Travel + Leisure.
As for restaurants, chef Michael Mina’s StripSteak was revamped this year. It now has a more playful menu, with dishes like caviar jelly doughnuts, Hamachi nori tacos, and prime rib cooked in duck fat. In May, Top Chef alums Michael and Bryan Voltaggio launched a culinary residency with Retro by Voltaggio where the menu features modern reinterpretations of Spaghetti O’s, pepperoni rolls, and shrimp cocktails. Los Angeles-based Sbe Entertainment also opened S Bar Las Vegas, a lounge that features heavy apps, craft cocktails, and live entertainment on select evenings.
Capping off the property’s culinary renaissance is Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar. This brand-new venue is fast becoming one of the city’s premiere game-viewing destinations. There’s a selection of 50-plus beers on offer, a private karaoke room, a TV wall, and steakhouse-quality bites.
What's to come? Sbe Entertainment is refreshing its Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar by year-end. (T+Lwas told guests can expect the updated space to feature a lounge illuminated by hanging lanterns and greenery, bamboo, and an oversized bonsai tree to imbue a more intimate feel in their lower-level dining room.) Mina will soon debut an outpost of Bourbon Steak and is set to open Orla, a Mediterranean-Greek fusion concept, in January.
Also arriving in January is Wolfgang Puck's Italian trattoria Caramá featuring dishes from all across Italy. “Caramá will transform the expected into something entirely new. Guests can anticipate a culinary experience that will be nothing short of extraordinary,” Puck said in a statement obtained by T+L. “Growing up on the border of Italy, I experienced first-hand, the cuisine of all the neighboring regions, embracing their textures, sounds, smells, and flavors. Caramá will take you on such a memorable culinary journey.”
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino experienced the first of many changes this year, with many exciting developments in the works. “We believe our best days are ahead,” said Bowling.
