Kyrgyzstan's president supports legalizing casinos for foreigners. The law was approved on June 22. Protests took place on 24 in Osh City and Bishkek. Lawmakers approved the bill after voting was disrupted four times. Protesters want the law to be withdrawn and they want to turn to the Constitutional Court. There was a ban on casinos adopted in 2012. However, properties are still operational in the illegal market. They must be located in restaurants or hotel complexes. Casinos located near Bisheskeks must have at least 10 gaming tables.

Kyrgyz parliament votes to legalise casinos and igaming for foreigners

Kyrgyz parliament votes to legalise casinos and igaming for foreigners. The bill will go to the president. It will come into force six months after its publication. Cabinet will establish regulations for gambling within one month of publication and set licence fees.  Online gambling was rejected. Use of credit cards and loans to gamble is prohibited. iGaming was banned in KyrgyZstan in 2012. Online gambling outside of gambling establishments was also rejected by the committee.
