Via this collaboration, the operator will promote OLG’s online slots, table games, live casinos, and digital sportsbook, PROLINE+ on OLG.ca to guests of its 14 gaming locations across Ontario.

The agreement further builds on the existing relationship between the leading casino operator and the Crown agency. Currently, Gateway Casinos operates 14 gaming sites in Southwest, North and Central Ontario on behalf of the OLG. Its operations create local entertainment by offering its world-class gaming, hospitality, and dining amenities to guests.

Partnership is Now in Motion

According to the announcement, the new partnership kicks off on July 10, 2023, with customers of the operator receiving a link to easily guide them to the Crown corporation’s OLG.ca. It should be mentioned that the website is a regulated platform for online gaming offering slots, table games, sports betting and more. It is available on all devices.

CEO of the casino operator, Tony Santo, commented the new agreement with OLG is another way of bolstering customer experience. He said play can enjoy their favourite games or wagering on sports events from the convenience of their mobile device or computer. The CEO said the operator will connect players to OLG.ca to keep the gaming going between visits to casinos.

Duncan Hannay, OLG’s President and CEO noted that the affiliate marketing agreement was another example of the Crown working with its valued partners to expand the OLG brand and bolster the gaming experience for bettors. He explained that the new partnership will help the OLG increase its contribution to the people of Ontario.

In the meantime, the operator boasts a commitment to responsible gambling in Ontario, as it utilizes OLG’s PlaySmart program at all of its properties. It should be mentioned that all of the company’s casinos in B.C. and Ontario, as well as OLG.ca, have been awarded an RG Check accreditation. Tw two companies will continue to promote responsible play across Ontario and Canada.

Sharing Casino Money with Host Communities

The partnership between Gateway Casinos and OLG has brought tremendous benefits to Ontario communities as gambling revenue helps fund various projects in each municipality. Recently, the Town of Wasaga Beach shared plans to use casino funds to build a new community health centre and after-hours clinic. The new facility will open as early as September 1, 2023.

In June OLG also handed a cheque to the City of Sault Ste. Marie for being the host community to Gateway Casinos Sault Ste. Marie, which is one of the fourteen casinos run by the operator. For the fiscal 2022-23, the city bagged a total payment of CA$1.45 million. Since the opening of the casino, the municipality received nearly CA$34 in non-tax revenue.
