Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut is celebrating 30 years in operation. The casino plans to add a Great Wolf Lodge to the property, which includes an indoor water park and family entertainment center. Ground-breaking will begin this summer and the new property should be up and running by 2024.
The Great Wolf Lodge facility will be added to 15 acres next to Foxwoods Resort Casino. The area will become family-friendly. Foxwood's is the largest resort casino in the Northeast region of the United States. It offers 340,000 square feet of gaming, 3,400 slot machines and just under 250 table games.
Foxwoods Resort Casino announces major expansion plans. The Rainmaker Expo Center will be 75,000 square feet in size and offer space for live concerts and trade shows. Other casinos will get renovations connected to the main entrance. Town meetings in Norwich have brought concerns that the developer of the new Preston RV Resort will negatively affect nearby wetlands, meadowland, and forest areas.
