Foxwoods Resort Casino announced on Wednesday an $85 million expansion. The expansion will create a larger gaming space and add a celebrity chef-owned restaurant. Construction is set to begin in November and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023.

Foxwoods Casino Unveils Plan to expand Gaming Floor. The expansion is targeted for next year. It will add 50,000 square feet of new gaming space to the casino. Foxwoods has a 300,00-square-foot gaming area with 3,500 slot machines and 250 table games.

Foxwoods casino celebrated its 30th anniversary last February. It gave out $300,000 in cash and prizes to lucky customers. The casino also announced a series of major renovation projects and expansions. Last July, the casino opened a $7 million high-stakes bingo hall. In November 2021, it opened DraftKings Sportsbook at Foxwoods.
