Foxwoods Announces $85 Million Resort Development

Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced $85 million in property development. The new casino is slated to open summer 2023. It will feature a state-of-the-art gaming space and a celebrity chef-owned restaurant. This is the first significant gaming expansion since 2008.
The new Foxwoods casino concept will be situated in the Grand Ballroom, located in Grand Pequot area of the resort. Construction is slated to begin in November. Foxwood's El San Juan Casino will join Fox Tower Casino, Grand Pquots Casino and other world-class casinos in Mashantucket. The resort recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. It has also recently opened its new High Stakes Bingo Hall and partnered with DraftKings for its sports betting and iGaming operations. It is also planning to open Sushi by Bou, Golden Dragon restaurant and Wahlburgers.
