Bally's Corporation completed the acquisition of the Tropicana Las Vegas. GLPI and PENN completed a transaction of non-land assets of Tropiana for $148 million. Bally’s will lease the land underlying the property for 50 years at an annual rent figure of $10.5 million, similar to the lease deal at its Dover property. The Tropicoana is located on a 35-acre parcel on the Las Las Strip. It includes 1,470 guest rooms, 50,000 square feet of casino space, a 1.200-seat performance theater and 100,00 square ft of convention and meeting space. Caesars is expected to rebrand the current Bly's on The Strip to its Horse Shoe brand.

Michigan joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in May. The law prohibits the Michigan Gaming Control Board from authorizing internet games other than poker. Online poker apps BetMGM Poker MI, PokerStars MI and WSOP MI can focus on meeting certain conditions outlined by the MGCB before they can launch multi-state poker games.

GL PI reported strong first-quarter net income results of $127.2 million, 54 cents a share, on revenue of $301.5 million for the quarter that ended March 31. Harrington Raceway and Casino will re-open on Monday, June 1st with a limited capacity. The casino will be open from 10 AM to 2 AM. There will only be 500 slot machines operational. Everyone entering the building will have to wear a mask, answer a short questionnaire and get their temperature checked. Extra staff will also be around to help clean and remind people of guidelines. Dover Downs will reopen on June 15th. The facility employs 750 people. It represents between the 3rd or 4th greatest source of income to the state of Delaware.
