VICI Properties has acquired the real estate assets of four casinos and gaming facilities in Alberta from PURE Canadian Gaming for $271.9 million. The facilities are the Pure Casino Edmonton, Pures Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton and PURES Casino Calgary and Lethbridge. VICi has entered into a triple-net master lease agreement with PURE for the future operation of the facilities.

Century Casinos, Inc. broke ground on the new land-based casino and hotel development at Century Casino Caruthersville on Friday, December 2, 2022. The new casino at the Carutthersvile will offer 650 slot machines, table games, a deli, and a bar. It will be located in a hotel tower between the existing pavilion and the casino. 38-room hotel will provide scenic views of the Mississippi River and city of Carothersvill. New casino is expected to open in late 2024.

They are still required to have a container with at least 2,000 gallons of water beneath the facility.
