Twitch is Banning Streams of Unregulated Online Casinos

There was a ban on streamers sharing promo codes or links to promote the likes of dice games, roulette, and slots since August 2021. Twitch has seen that some people circumvent these rules and expose their community to potential harm.

Twitch will ban all streams related to unregulated online casinos. The ban will take effect on October 18th. Twitch is planning to provide more details about the new policy in the near future.

The current Twitch policy allows streamers to present online casino content on platforms with a license in the US or another jurisdiction that offers "sufficient customer protection". Stake.com, Roobet, Duelbits and Rollbit are the four platforms that will be affected by the changing policy.

Twitch is banning streams of unregulated online casinos. There is a growing concern about the impact of gambling-related content on young people. Sliker, a popular streamer, took about $300,000 from his fans to fund his gambling addiction.
