Sports betting and iGaming company launching new online casino platform in New Jersey on heels of first-place national ranking.

An emerging legal sports betting operator is enhancing its casino offerings.

Tipico — a European sports betting and iGaming company — is launching a new online casino platform in New Jersey. The debut of Tipico’s new proprietary casino platform comes less than two years after the company introduced its casino app in November 2021. Since then, the company has developed its online offering into the No. 1 rated casino app in the U.S. ahead of BetMGM, DraftKings, and Barstool, according to a recent study by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming.

“On the heels of earning a first-place national ranking, we are excited to unveil a completely original experience for customers who desire to play casino games in New Jersey,” said Tipico U.S. CEO Adrian Vella in a statement. “We are uniquely positioned to make huge leaps in 2024 and beyond with a combination of original and classic content, efficient processing, and our trusted brand heritage.”

Tipico’s new casino platform provides an enriched experience for users with personalized content based on insights collected by a real-time data engine. The relaunched casino platform also allows users to play up to four games at once with the addition of new video animations.

Users of Tipico’s new casino will have access to 707 games on desktop and Android, while iOS players can play up to 441 games on the operating system. The casino’s gaming catalog, which is bolstered by partnerships with Konami and White Hat Gaming, includes slot machine titles “Dynamite Dash” and “Peaky Blinders.” Classics like blackjack and roulette are also available.

Growing interest

Tipico, which is also live with online betting sites in Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, is steadily growing.

In May 2023, the sportsbook reported a live betting handle of $5.8 million — a 12% increase year-over-year. Tipico had a total handle of $10.8 million in May with 54% being live wagers.

The growth was attributed to an uptick in live pitch-by-pitch MLB betting this 2023 season.

Stable market

Tipico is operating in a New Jersey gaming market that is continuing to drive favorable profits.

The Garden State generated $521.5 million in total gaming revenue in September 2023 — a 7.5% increase year-over-year. The results included revenue from sports betting, casinos, and racetracks. New Jersey saw sports betting revenue reach $111.1 million during the month, up from $98 million in September 2022. The Garden State had a total sports betting handle of $1.29 billion in September 2023 with online sportsbooks taking in $1.25 billion of the wagers.
