Only 108 spots available for charity Texas Hold 'Em tournament featuring Red Wings alumni on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at MotorCity Casino Hotel, with $5,000 grand prize at stake

DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings Foundation is once again inviting fans to shuffle up and deal, announcing today that tickets are now on sale for the MotorCity Casino Hotel's annual Red Wings Charity Poker Tournament, set for Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022.

The 12th annual charity poker event gives fans an opportunity to go head-to-head with Red Wings alumni in a Texas Hold 'Em tournament with a $5,000 grand prize on the line.

For a $450 donation to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, fans can reserve their spot in the tournament and enjoy a strolling VIP dinner at MotorCity Casino Hotel's Sound Board--featuring complimentary beverages, a silent auction and Red Wings alumni meet & greet opportunities for the participant and a guest--as well as a one-night stay at MotorCity Casino Hotel and a tournament quarter zip jacket as a gift.

Back by popular demand, fans also have a Red Wings alumni bounty opportunity, which means if a participant eliminates one of the Red Wings legends in the field like Darren McCarty, Chris Osgood, Larry Murphy or any of the other nine alumni, that participant gets to keep the former player's autographed jersey right off their back.

"After a one-season hiatus, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation is thrilled to once again partner with MotorCity Casino Hotel to host the Red Wings Charity Poker Tournament," Red Wings and Tigers director of community impact Kevin Brown said. "Whether you're enjoying the first-class strolling dinner, bidding on spectacular auction items or trying to knock out a Red Wings alumnus to receive their jersey bounty, MotorCity Casino Hotel will be the place to be on February 16, 2022."

Along with the $5,000 grand prize, the top 10 finishers will be awarded prizes, including $2,500 cash for second place. Third place will receive four tickets to a 2021-22 Red Wings home game and fourth through 10th place will receive an autographed, game-used hockey stick by a Red Wings player.

Only 108 players will be admitted into the tournament field this year, so reserve your spot at the table today at DetroitRedWings.com/Poker.
