VALLEY FORGE, PA — One very lucky gambler struck gold on Monday at Valley Forge Casino.

A slot machine player won $100,000 from the casino's Double Double Bonus Poker game, the casino said.

The player had made an initial bet of $125 to win the jackpot.

The winning hand was a royal flush, or five cards of the same suit (spades) of the highest possible ranking, including ace, king, queen, jack, and 10.

Double Double is a form of poker and is a very popular slot with gamblers targeting huge payouts, as it offers boosted awards for various special hands, like four of a kind.

Smaller payouts are also provided for some weaker hands.
