Two months after the draw, a Raworth woman has admitted she came close to throwing out her Lucky Lotteries ticket worth $200,000 after nearly mistaking it for a Bunnings receipt.

The New South Wales player scored the $200,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1529, drawn Friday 23 April 2021.

The ticket was unregistered, so officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the winner to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

Thankfully, the player had scanned her ticket at her local outlet with no idea it had won $200,000 almost two months ago.

“Gosh! I’m blown away,” she declared.

“I nearly threw it in the garbage! It was amongst my Bunnings receipts.

“Once I found it, I thought I would just go across the road to get my regular tickets. I gave it to the cashier, and it scanned up as a larger win. He glanced at me weirdly.

“I thought he was joking with me. He knows I come in regularly.

“This is absolutely amazing! I really had one of those days where I needed some good luck.”

When asked how she might enjoy her lottery windfall, the jubilant winner immediately thought of putting it towards her house mortgage.

“My husband seriously won’t believe me!” she laughed.

“This has come at a very important time as I had to give up work.

“This will bring less stress and place me forward in retirement.

“This is amazing!
