PokerStars, the largest online poker site in the world, has announced that PokerStars VR has rebranded to PokerStars presents Vegas Infinite in a full scale overhaul of the ground-breaking free-to-play social casino experience.

The announcement of the rebrand teed up another huge development for the leading virtual reality game, which just last week added a PC version with no headset required.

The addition of PC, which is available to download for free via Steam, means players on desktop and those in virtual reality on Steam and Meta Quest will be able to sit down at the tables together for the first time.

Vegas Infinite aims to provide both poker and casino gamers with a pioneering, immersive first-person experience in virtual reality or using a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

Boasting fully customizable characters, multiplayer play, and breathtaking backdrops, Vegas Infinite allows players to interact with the chips, cards, tables, and fellow punters in a way unlike any other online casino product.

A significant expansion on the successful PokerStars VR, which was first launched in 2018, Vegas Infinite describes the full virtual Vegas experience, and includes casino games such as Slots, Craps, Blackjack & Roulette – improving these within electrifying locations.

Meanwhile, poker remains in a new and improved setting, with some of PokerStars best-loved formats available, including cash games, Spin & Go, and multi-table tournament poker.

In fact, the launch of Vegas Infinite coincided with Season 3 of the game’s flagship Metaverse Poker Tour, with Stop 1 in Macau having
run between October 5th and October 8th. Stop 1 of the MPT, which is renowned for offering an authentic poker experience, includes more than 60 events, including Mini Main and Main Events, Turbos, and Highroller events, with participants gifted swag bags for taking part.

Discussing the creation of Vegas Infinite for PC, James O’Reilly, Director of VR & Innovation at PokerStars, said: “We’ve drawn on five years of experience in VR game development to build a rich, open-world entertainment destination that also offers all the convenience of desktop. Our launch on PC brings Vegas Infinite to a brand-new audience and gives our VR players the chance to invite friends who don’t own headsets into the same world to play, explore, and hangout together anytime, from anywhere.”

Vegas Infinite is available to download now, totally free of charge, in virtual reality for Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro, and PlayStation VR2, and on Steam for virtual reality and the new PC edition of the game.

Vegas Infinite is intended for individuals aged 18 and above for amusement purposes only. These games do not offer real money gambling or an opportunity to win real money. Practice or success at social games does not imply future success at real money gambling.
