Lightning Box has upgraded its slot slot Silver Lion by adding a Feature Ball component. The game has been a player favourite since its release in 2016. It is available on an exclusive basis to Betsson and distributed through the Games Global platform. In Feature ball, players choose four of seven pockets for the ball to fall in. Sydney-based online gaming supplier Lightning Box has gone live in Connecticut with Lightning Horseman, a popular slot game among US online casino players. Lightning box has already launched in New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Connecticut passed gaming legislation. Scientific Games is excited about Lightning boxes latest launch in the US. It is a leading multi-channel supplier of video slots to the casino gaming industry.

Lightning Box has released a new Irish slot called Murphy's Pots. It's available on Sky Betting and Gaming for two weeks before going network wide. Scientific Games, iGaming, distributed the game. The game has 25 paylines and two bonus features. It is available to customers of Scientific Game's OpenGaming platform. They are 100xRa, Chicken Fox 5x Skillstar and Kalahari Safari. Lightning box games are integrated across the OpenGaming platform in the US. The studio will continue to deliver new titles while benefiting from SG’s comprehensive range of resources, including data analytics and commercial support. Lightning boxes portfolio includes strong performers such as ChickenFox, Lightning Horseman, Lighting Leopard, Chicken Fox5x Skillstar, Astrocat and Silver Lion.

Scientific Games has acquired Sydney-based online casino games maker Lightning Box. The company claims the transaction is an important step forward for its strategic plan to establish itself as a content-led sustainable growth gambling provider. Lightning box was established in 2004 by casino game development veterans Peter Causley and David Little. It has a long-standing content distribution partnership with Scientific Games and its products have been part of the latter company’s OpenGaming platform in the US since its early days.

Scientific Games is focusing on online and land- based gaming. The acquisition follows the recent decision by Scientific to divest its lottery and sports betting businesses. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.    Lightning Box is integrated with Scientific games’ OpenGaming platform. It is now in a better position than ever to bring its robust pipeline of high-quality slots to its global online casino partners.

In July, Scientific Games proposed to buy the remaining 19 percent of equity interest in digital game company SciPlay Corp. It also announced it would divest itself of its lottery and sports betting businesses. In June, the company stated it planned to concentrate on its land-based gaming, iGaming and Sci play businesses instead. Lightning box games are said to offer live operations with more than 50 leading U.S., Canadian, and European gaming brands.

The company launched a host of its products in Michigan in January 2021, shortly after that state regulated online casino gaming. Its content has also been available in Pennsylvania since November 2020.

Enchanted Waysfecta is a new slot game from Lightning Box. It features a Waysffect device that delivers up to 15,552 ways to win. The game goes live today and goes on general network release on July 28. In the game, a young woman substitutes for all symbols except the scatter (Bonus) and appears on all reels except for the first.

Lightning Box has launched a selection of its slots with iGaming brand 32Red via Microgaming. The studio delivers its content to land-based, online, and social casinos around the world. 32red is one of the many iGambling and sports betting brands operating under the Kindred Group umbrella. Kind red purchased the site in 2017 in a £175.6 million deal.

Betssons acquired a 70% stake in local operator Colbet in 2020. ColBet provides both online casino and wagering products to local players.
