Penn National Gaming completed the acquisition of the operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville in Maryland. The Company entered into a definitive agreement with Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. to acquire the operation for $31.1 million in cash. Today, the Company signed a lease for the real estate assets associated with the facility with annual rent of $7.77 million.
Penn National Gaming has completed the acquisition of the operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville in Maryland. The Company entered into a lease agreement with GLPI for the real estate assets associated with the facility. Allie Evangelista has been named General Manager of Perry County. Matt Heiskell will now oversee operations at the Company's Hollywood casinos in Mississippi. The acquisition received final approval from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission on 27 May 2021.
