New Mexico to Meet San Francisco on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas in Jack Jones Hoopfest

ALBUQUERQUE N.M. – The New Mexico men’s basketball team has added a Dec. 12 date to its schedule, playing San Francisco in Las Vegas as part of the Jack Jones Hoopfest. The game at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino will tip off at 8:30 p.m. PT and will be the second game of a doubleheader, following Creighton vs. Arizona State at 6:00 p.m. PT.
Tickets are available through sportsnetworkllc.com. The game will air on KKOB radio, while TV or streaming coverage has not been determined yet.
The Lobos (7-0) had availability to add the game against the Dons (7-1) after the cancellations of the home-and-home series with New Mexico State.
UNM and USF haven’t met since 1994-95 when the Dons defeated the Lobos 80-74 in The Pit in the Preseason NIT. Overall, the series is tied 2-2. Both teams were in the field of last year’s Las Vegas Invitational at the Orleans Arena, but did not end up playing each other.
The Lobos will have a pair of home games next week before traveling to Las Vegas. New Mexico hosts Western New Mexico on Dec. 6 and UTSA on Dec. 10. Tickets for those games are available at GoLobos.com/tickets.
