Las Vegas casinos have set a new monthly gross gaming revenue (GGR) bar for July. Nevada 312 gaming facility had a combined $1.36 billion win in July.

The GGR is an all-time best monthly GGR report in the state gambling history. According to Nevada Gaming Control Board, the July haul was fueled by terminals and slot machines.

Slots generated $873.6 million, a 60 percent increase from that on July 2020. Table games won $486.2 million, which is equivalent to a 131 percent year-over-year surge.

Baccarat also had an incredible performance recording a 169 percent surge in July, indicating that international travel is resuming. Baccarat is a choice game for guests arriving from Asia.

Sportsbook also performed well in July, winning eight percent of nearly $410 million wagered. The $1.36 billion July record receded the May 2021 record of $1.23 billion. Now, the Nevada gaming industry has a new GGR monthly target.

The July GGR in Nevada was contributed by various factors- including pent-up demand driven by Americans seeking leisure activities.

In July, approximately 4.15 million passengers went through McCarran International Airport. Though international travel is still dragging, domestic travel has reached pre-pandemic levels.
