GuelphToday received the following letter to the editor from Phil Andrews regarding the increase in access to online gambling in Ontario.
Dear editor
I’m greatly concerned at the suddenly increased access to sports and online casino gambling in Ontario and the explosion in marketing to expand awareness of this development.
I fear this will lead to a corresponding boom in problem gambling in this province.
I hope our education system builds up its curriculum to include learning opportunities about gambling addictions and its various tolls. I suspect there are already ample case studies that might be referenced for this purpose – and many more that will be available all too soon.
