The Bellagio Conservatory has switched from their fall theme to their Christmas theme. Aria has decorations in their lobby area. The Shops at Crystals has an immersive nutcracker experience from November 19-December 30th. There is an ice skating rink at the Cosmopolitan's pool. Enchant Las Vegas is back for its second year at Las Las Vites Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin. Santa Run is held on December 3 and benefits local nonprofit, Opportunity Village. Glittering Lights at Vegas Motor Speedway is a cool attraction. The Magical Forest is also a popular attraction at Opportunity village.

July 4th celebrations are going on in cities and counties across the country. Las Vegas has fireworks shows, parades and festivals.

Las Vegas Weekly's Best of Vegas event wrapped Thursday evening at 9 p.m. from Area15. Over 100 local businesses were awarded the ‘Best of Las Vegas’ moniker.

The Illinois Gaming Board approved the $500 million casino-resort property. It will open with 20 luxury villas and later expand with a 150-room four-star hotel.

This weekend there are sports events for local sports fans. Justin Moore is playing at the Sunset Station Amphitheater. Christine Shebeck is opening the Nevada Room in Commercial Center. Potted Potter is a Harry Potter-themed comedy show. The second annual charity softball game is being played in Downtown Summerlin on Saturday. It will raise money for the Knights Foundation, the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation and the Miracle League of Las Vegas. It's being held at Las Las Vegas Ballpark. it's organized by Vegas Golden Knights winger Reilly Smith. He's also the host of the event.

Nonsmokers Rights group wants to ban smoking in Nevada casinos. They have written to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Oakland Athletics asking him to help ban it. The A's are considering moving to Nevada. Louisiana Shreveport City recently banned smoking. Park MGM in Vegas banned it last year. NoMad Las Vegas and No Madrid Hotel with a hotel at Park Mg upon it has also banned.

Aviators begin 6 game homestand Thursday at Las Vegas Ballpark. The Aviator's are the longest-running professional sports franchise in Nevada. They are a Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. The team is concluding a six-game Northern Nevada road trip against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, on Tuesday, July 13.

Dave Kaval walked back his previous statement that the Oakland A's could play out of Las Vegas Ballpark.

Activision Blizzard has invested $100 million into PlayStudios. Playstudios is a developer of numerous casual and casino games. The company recently merged with Acies and is trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbols MYPS and MYpsW. In addition to the investment, Play Studios announced a $75 million, five-year credit facility to support its future growth initiatives. Mobile is Activision Blizzard's biggest platform by revenue.

PlayStudios went public on the Nasdaq. PlayStudio is focused on social gaming.

There are 10 signs Las Vegas is coming back strong this Memorial Day weekend. Economic analyst Jeremy Aguero predicted it could take up to three years for Las Nevada to recover from the pandemic. Now, he says, the recovery is going ahead of schedule. Casinos have taken down Plexiglas barriers at gaming tables and opened more nightclubs and restaurants. More people are flying to Las Las and conventions are returning.

Aristocrat Gaming has formed a partnership with minor-league team Las Vegas Aviators and its home field, the Las Las Vitesse Ballpark.
