Lotte Tour’s Jeju Dream Tower integrated resort enjoyed by far its biggest ever month in July, with casino net revenues climbing to KRW20.1 billion (US$15.5 million) – up 76.1% over the previous monthly record of KRW11.4 billion (US$8.8 million) set in May. It was also 517% higher than July 2022, aided by record footfall with 27,005 casino visitors throughout the month.

By comparison there were just 7,734 visitors a year earlier, increasing to 21,866 in May 2023 and 22,251 in June 2023

The July figures included table revenues of KRW17.5 billion (US$13.5 million), some 64.0% higher than the previous best of KRW10.7 billion (US$8.2 million) set in May, and slot machine revenue of KRW2.59 billion (US$2.0 million), up 188% over the previous record of KRW897 million (US$690,000) set in June.

Lotte Tour did not explain the reason for such a significant increase although figures show that casino drop of KRW158.6 billion (US$122 million) was up 39.4% over June and 28.5% over May. Table hold of 13.5% was also its highest in more than a year, compared with hold of just 9.4% in May and 9.1% in June.

The tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high, Jeju Dream Tower features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.

The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters while offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
