BIG3 is a 3-on-3 pro basketball league founded by Ice Cube, and this year's season kicks off on July 10th in Las Vegas, and wraps up with the championship game on September 4th in the Bahamas.

In a recent interview on Big Boy's Neighborhood, Ice Cube said of BIG3, "I did this out of being a fan saying, 'I can't see these dudes play no more. Why not?' And, I start thinking about like, that 3-on-3 game is great. Everybody play it. And so to take it to the pro level and make it stick has been a dream come true in entertainment, like this is the hardest thing I've ever done because there's resistance. Nobody wants to see a new league. I'm talking about the big boy leagues — they don't want to see a new league come because we take sponsors, we actually compete for some of those sponsor and partner dollars.

Ice Cube added, "The way we got it structured, we have incentives everywhere. This year, you win, you make more money than if you lose. We have The Bahamas incentive, you know, if you make it to the playoffs, the playoffs is in Bahamas. And then you there, if you make it to the championship game, you're there two weeks because the championship game is in The Bahamas. So it's just the perfect league to have incentives. And these guys are all together, you know? In the NBA, you play somebody in Phoenix and then you off to Milwaukee, you don't see them again till the next time you playing. But in our league, they all go back to the same hotel."
