Canadian nationals can only play online gambling on online casino's through offshore websites. U.S. citizens can't gamble on offshore sites or sportsbooks.

Michigan legalized online casinos, poker websites and sports betting since Christmas 2019. Online casinos effectively started operations in January 2021.

Pennsylvania is an excellent place to wager and play casino games online. There are 12 licensed web casinos in Pennsylvania offering poker, table games, and slots.

DraftKings, SugarHouse-Rivers, Betfair-FanDuel and ROAR are the top four U.S. online casino operators. It is still challenging for an overseas iGaming operator to obtain a U.,S., license.

Canadians can choose from a myriad of online casinos and sports betting websites offering a wide variety of betting options.

There are few regulations in place in Canada regarding online gambling. Ontario has the largest legal iGaming provider in the country.

Online gamblers in Canada are exempt from taxes on their winnings from online casinos, sportsbooks, lotteries, or any other games of fortune.

Gambling winnings in the U.S. are reported by a Form W-2G and subject to a flat tax of 24%. The same rate applies to the fair market value of any non-cash prizes like holidays or automobiles.
