Where can I go to purchase Powerball tickets? Well, the simplest way might be to buy them on the MI Lottery website, mobile app, or by clicking here. You may also head over to one of your local lottery retailers, which can include grocery stores, convenience stores and gas stations.

Then, select five numbers from 1 to 69 and another number from 1 to 26, which will be your Powerball number -- the red ball. Many players decide to let the terminal randomly select their numbers for them with the Quick Pick tool.

Notably, there is a Power Play add-on feature that you can take part in every time you play. Participating in the Power Play will make your ticket cost $3 rather than the traditional $2 ticket, but it gives you the chance to increase your winnings.

Any prize that you may win, aside from the jackpot, will be multiplied by the Power Play number that was drawn. A number (2, 3, 4, 5, or 10) will be selected just prior to the regular numbers drawing. This will be the Power Play figure and your non-jackpot prize will be multiplied by it.

As stated earlier, the $1.55 billion Powerball jackpot is one of the largest in the game’s multi-decade history. Check out the biggest jackpots below:
