GARDEN CITY, NY — While no decision has been made on bringing a hotel/casino to the Nassau Hub site, the Say No to the Casino Civic Association is addressing one of the concerns facing the community.

Les Bernal, National Director of Stop Predatory Gambling, a non-profit based in Washington, DC, will speak at Garden City Middle School about the new epidemic of teen and child gambling.

The Garden City PTA is hosting the Wednesday evening event that also features a recent college graduate who's a recovering gambling addict.

The discussion will focus on the risks of youth gambling due to the proliferation of online gambling sites.

Students from neighboring schools have been invited as well.
