Gambling revenue in Pennsylvania took a significant hit in 2020.

The state's gaming control board reported a drop of more than 20 percent from the previous year.

Pennsylvania's casinos were closed for a significant part of 2020 because of the pandemic.

During the same time, their take from online gambling and sports betting skyrocketed. Internet gambling shot up to $566 million in 2020, and sports betting more than doubled to almost $190 million.
