Foxwoods generates $31 million in slot revenue in August 2023

Foxwoods celebrated the opening of the Pequot Woodlands Casino to the public on 29 August and a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on 8 September. The brand-new casino located on the Grand Pequot concourse is 50,000+ sq ft with 430 new slot machines, a 40-seat slot bar, a new High Limit Slot room with 130 state-of-the-art machines, a public bar, a casino cage, and more. The Pequot Woodlands Casino is the latest in a series of exciting new developments coming to Foxwoods.
The renowned burger sensation, Walhburgers, founded by Chef Paul Wahlberg and his brothers, actors Donnie and Mark opened to the public at Foxwoods on August 29. Wahlburgers is a casual dining gourmet burger restaurant and bar chain located on the Great Cedar Concourse serving an array of mouthwatering burgers, sandwiches, salads, delectable sides such as fries and tots, and refreshing cocktails and shakes. Wahlburgers hosted an official Grand Opening party on 14 September.
In August, Foxwoods rolled out several promotions for guests including its August Hotel Sale, giving guests the chance to plan their getaway to Foxwoods to receive up to 30% off their stays. Foxwoods Summerfest promotions continued in August, giving Foxwoods Rewards Members more chances to win this summer with new gaming promotions available every day of the week. Guests started their week with Summer Sundays and on Multiplier Mondays, Foxwoods Rewards Members were able to multiply their rewards points and tier credits. Tier Tuesdays, Foxwoods Rewards Members were able to win their share of over $10,000 in cash with the Tuesday Tier Status Hot Seat or their share of $25,000 in cash, bonus slot play, or rewards points with Winning Wednesday. Guests then closed out their week with $10,000 Thursdays, where they were able to win their share of $10,000 in Mastercard prepaid rewards cards. 4X Tier Credits, Pointzilla, 4X Rewards Points, and Tier Credits promotions let guests tier up faster than ever while playing their favorite slots or table games. Additionally, guests participated in the 10 Jeeps in 10 Weeks Sweepstakes, where ten lucky winners got the chance to win a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Two-Door Sport. During this promotion, Foxwoods also selected ten winners to receive $500 of Bonus Slot Play.
Wave Foxwoods Day Party the all-new summer Sunday experience at the Fox Tower Pool continued to make a splash at Foxwoods in August. Guests were able to kick back, relax, and go back to the 90s with the Maxin & Relaxing party that took place on August 6, and a Tiki Lounge party that took place on August 13. Performances that took place at Foxwoods in August include legendary entertainer Donny Osmond, Grammy Award-winning musician Richard Marx, and Grammy Award-winning bands Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and KC & The Sunshine Band. Comedians Jay Leno, Felipe Esparza, Legion of Shanks, and the Juicy Scoop Experience with Heather McDonald. Country musicians Gabby Barrett and Tyler Hubbard. Rock and roll band Daughtry, Alter Bridge, The O’Jays, Parliament Funk, and multi-platinum musicians Melissa Etheridge and Elle King.
Foxwoods brought back for the second year, a family favorite event, Bash on The Grass where guests were able to party from dusk until dawn on August 18 and 25 on the Grand Pequot Lawn. Guests were also able to enjoy a festive carnival atmosphere with fortune tellers, fire breathers, stilt-walkers, classic carnival games, signature cocktails and festival eats at Cocktail Carnival on 12 August.
Earlier this month, the resort casino announced its September Hotel Sale, giving guests the chance to plan their getaway to Foxwoods to receive up to 30% off their stays. Summer camp came to Foxwoods on 2-3 September with its all-new Camp Foxwoods, an all-age family fun event. Guests were able to enjoy lawn games, a live DJ, giveaways, and a delicious buffet Labor Day Weekend at the Fox Tower Pool. Lastly, performances that took place at the resort casino earlier this month included Steve-O, Hannah Berner, Ludacris, Gabriel Iglesias, Sara Evans, Gin Blossoms & Sugar Ray, Craig Ferguson, Squeeze and the Psychedelic Furs, Dave Attell, and 98° and All-For-One.
Guests can tier up faster than ever while playing their favorite slots or table games with promotions including 2X Rewards + 2X Tier Credits each Monday in September.
Looking ahead, Foxwoods will continue to roll out events and promotions you can’t find anywhere else. Guests can get ready for our Sinister Soiree Halloween Party at Centrale on 28 October. The ultimate Halloween bash hosted by the one and only Christina Ricci. Guests can also look to enjoy Foxwoods’ Beerfest: Battle of the Brews when it makes its return on 4 November.
