Connecticut's casinos record slot revenue rises in June

Connecticut’s casinos recorded both month-over-month and year-over-year increases in their slot revenues in June.
Foxwoods, which is owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, reported $24.9 million in slot revenues last month, a decline from the $32.7 million haul recorded in May and the $33.6 million recorded in June 2020, when the casino reopened after being temporarily closed during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Mohegan Sun, owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribal Nation, recorded $40.9 million in slots revenue in June, up from the $44.9 million in the previous month but down from the $45.5 million posted one year earlier when it reopened for business.
The casinos are required to channel 25% of slot revenues into Connecticut’s general fund. Foxwoods provided $7.3 million to the state while Mohegan Sun said it paid $10.2 million.
