PointsBet and NCPG partner up to launch responsible gambling research initiative in the US

PointsBet and the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) announce the launch of a research initiative on responsible gambling decision-making for online gambling operators. The objective is to understand how various industry, government and clinical stakeholders would respond to different scenarios in which a fictional online betting customer demonstrates potentially problematic gambling behavior. An anonymous and voluntary survey will be issued to attendees of the 2022 National Conference on Gabbling Addiction & Responsible Gambling. Findings and analysis of it will then be made available to all conference attendees and general public in September 2022.

PointsBet has introduced live online gaming in Michigan. The iGaming platform was launched via a partnership with Evolution. They were recently awarded a sports betting licence in Virginia and are expecting approval to operate in Maryland and New York.

Online gambling revenue surged in September. All three states held on to those gains in the October, though they didn't add much to it.

SB386 was passed during the 2021 Legislative session. It guaranteed the rights of gaming and tourism industry workers who were laid off during pandemia to return to their jobs. Redrock opposed the legislation.
