4.24% Year-On-Year Increase in August Gambling Revenue in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has reported the total gaming revenue and the revenues across various forms of gambling in the state of Pennsylvania for the month of August.

There was a 4.24% increase in the total gaming revenue in Pennsylvania in August. Hollywood Casino at Penn National took home the most revenue with $60.9 million. The total tax revenue collected from all forms of gambling amounted to $175.3 million in that month.

Retail slots brought in the highest winnings this month of $201.3 million. Parx Casino collected revenue of $32.4 million, which is 10.69% lower than the $36.2 million the casino achieved last year. Table games brought $12.6 million this year, but that's a decrease of 6.25% compared to last August. Sports betting revenue enjoyed the biggest increase year-on-year from $18 million in August 2021 to $34 million in 2022. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported the most revenue with $13. 6 million year on year and iGaming tables almost doubled year to year with  $28.7 million revenue.
