“Mate, this is bloody unreal,” the man told lottery officials when they called him to share the life-changing news.

The lucky man said he thought someone was pranking him or there was a “glitch in the system” when he initially saw that he’d won on The Lott App.

“I think anyone who gets hit with this info would think it’s surreal. It’s just unbelievable.”

“There is a massive shock factor. You always daydream, but you never really expect it to happen. It’s a lottery after all!

The winning numbers were 15, 5, 28, 20, 29, 34 and 27. The all-important Powerball number was 8.

The Queenslander said he’s going to use his windfall to buy his first house, help family and friends and enjoy “plenty” of holidays.

Despite his huge cash injection, the prize winner has vowed to continue working, for the remainder of this year at least.

“It’s a lot to think about now. I know the money will help a lot of people,” he said.

The winning entry was a 36-game QuickPick ticket that was purchased online.

In addition to the sole division one winner, there were 1,708,139 winners in divisions two to nine who won more than $31.26 million.

This includes four division two winners who each won $216,329.20.
