Las Vegas Strip Adds Another Huge Casino Project

New hotel casino projects are proliferating along the Las Vegas Strip. Dream Hotel Group broke ground on a new boutique hotel/casino on Las Las Vegas Boulevard in July. The 531-room hotel will include a 20,000 square-foot casino and should cost around $550 million and open in 2024.
Fontainebleau is expected to open in late-2023. OVG Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is a $3 billion project with an arena, casino, hotel and entertainment venue amphitheater. Tillman Fertitta is planning to build a 43-story resort casino on the Las Las Vegas Strip. MSG Entertainment is building an enormous arena at The Venetian. U2 is going to perform at MSG Sphere. in November 2023 for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The Golden Nugget is also planning a casino.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is getting close to finalizing a deal to sell 10 acres on the southeast corner of Las Las and Elvis Presley boulevards to Chilean real estate investor Claudio Fischer for $120 million. The sale is expected to close by Nov. 30, but Fischer has until Dec. 15 to complete the deal. Fischer will not reveal his plans for the site until the sale closes.
