LEWISTON - On Thursday, July 21, 2022, a Lewiston woman's life changed with a trip to the Clearwater River Casino. While playing on the Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Video Game Machine (VGM), Linda Jorgensen hit a jackpot of $1,541,533.11, the largest jackpot ever won in the Casino's history.

According to the Casino, Jorgensen was wagering $4.50 when she hit it big.

“We are pleased to see one of our patrons win such a huge amount,” said Dan Kane, General Manager at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge. “Several years back we had a winner for over $600,000 but this million-dollar win is considered a life changing amount."

The VGM manufacturer, International Game Technology (IGT), sent a technician to the Casino to verify the jackpot on Friday. The machine is known as a Wide Area Progressive, which exists electronically connected to other casinos. The maximum jackpot on the machine reset to $500,000 immediately following the million-dollar win.
