Wayne County Woman Wins $403,618 Second Chance Progressive Jackpot

Taking a chance on a new game proved to be life changing for a Wayne County woman who won a $403,618 Second Chance Progressive Jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the jackpot after she was selected in a random drawing that took place Feb. 8. She earned entries into the giveaway by playing the Monthly Jackpot game online at MichiganLottery.com.
“I logged in to my account and made a deposit to buy some Mega Millions tickets,” said the 61-year-old player. “I had some money left over, so I gave the Monthly Jackpot game a try.
“As time went by, I had forgotten about playing the game and earning entries and then I got the email saying I had won a progressive jackpot. I checked my Lottery account and chatted with a customer service agent who instructed me to call the Lottery office. Even now it all seems so surreal!”
The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to share with family, take a vacation, and then invest the remainder.

Part of every purchase of the Monthly Jackpot, Mystery Vault, and Lucky Start games funds one progressive jackpot prize which is awarded in a second chance drawing each month.
