Rootz secures an online slots licence in Germany. The licence will cover Wildz.de, Wheelzgames. de and Spinzde German-facing websites. It joins the nine businesses and 12 brands already licensed by the Sachsen-Anhalt office.

Rootz has received a license to operate online slot games in Germany.

Tipwin has adopted Neccton’s mentor software to fulfil Responsible Gambling and Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Tipwin is one of nine companies listed on Germany's national regulator”s White List.

Sonnenspiele is the latest German slots operator to be licensed. The German slot industry is highly regulated. Of the 11 brands already licensed, six are connected with the Gauselmann Group.

Germany is expanding the number of licenses for slot machine operators from three to five. Mernov has been renamed to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Glücksspiel (DGGS), Tipwin and Mybet.

The Mill Adventure will receive a licence to offer slots on its Slotmagie website. Merkur is licensed for three sites: Xtip, Merks Sports and Merckur Spiel. The Glücksspielbehörde took over enforcement of penalties against unlicensed online operators on 1 July. It implemented its first IP blocking order against lottery betting operator Lottoland last month.

Tipwin and Mybet obtained licenses in Germany for slot machine games on June 23.

Tipwin and Mybet are allowed to offer online slots in Germany. They join Mernov, which is associated with the Gauselmann Group, as the only licensees. The Fourth State Treaty on Gambling came into effect in July 2021. It has a number of conditions, including a €1 stake limit for slots and a 5.3% of turnover in tax. Danish gambling regulator Spillemyndigheden reported Tipwin to the police for violating the country’s Money Laundering Act.

Sachsen-Anhalt has published its whitelist of licensed operators under the country's Fourth State Treaty on Gambling. The list includes 35 licensees for online sports betting, but no license for slots, table games or poker. Online casino games were permitted in the state treaty (GlüNeuRStv) came into effect on 1 July this year. However, the treaty came with a number of restrictions, including a €1000 per month spending cap and a€1 per spin stake cap on slot games.

Gig has signed a deal with Slotbox to create a single point of registration, shared wallet and loyalty system. The agreement is based on a combination of fixed fees and revenue share structure. It is expected to make a positive contribution to GiG’s revenues from 2021 onwards. Gig also signed an agreement with online sportsbook operator Tipwin to power its new online casino offering under licences from the Maltese and Swedish Gaming Authorities. In August, Gi's revenue increased 32.3% from €11. 3m to €16.7m.

Microgaming supports Germany's new iGaming regulations. The company also affirmed its commitment to provide its Germany-facing operators with a solution to prepare them for the country's online gambling regime. GVC Holdings and other major gambling operators have been granted sports betting licenses to operate in Germany. Online casino-style gaming is banned under current German law and is set to become legal in July 2021.
