A lottery player in Suring had a good morning Friday when he won $69,089 playing Wisconsin Lottery's 50X Fast Play at Krist Food Mart, 916 E. Main St. in Suring.

The player, who store manager Amber Neal says buys a ticket every day, won 100% of the progressive jackpot.

"It's pretty cool to sell the winning ticket. Unexpected," Neal said. "When the winner purchased the ticket, he had me scan it, and I immediately told him, looks like you won something big."

Unlike other lotto games, the Fast Play progressive jackpot can be won as soon as a ticket is purchased. The player buys a terminal-generated ticket that allows for winning set prizes.

The amount of the progressive jackpot won depends on the ticket price purchased by the player – $1 tickets win 10% of the jackpot, $2 tickets win 20%, $5 tickets win 50%, and $10 tickets win 100%. This player had purchased a $10 ticket.

The odds of winning the Fast Play progressive jackpot are 1 in 240,000.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a 2% Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000. In this instance, 2% amounts to $1,381.78.

The jackpot is only winnable in Wisconsin and is not shared with other states.
