Robber steals thousands from woman leaving casino

A woman won several thousand dollars at a Madison casino only to lose her winnings to a robber on the way out of the establishment in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Police were dispatched to Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison just after 2 a.m., where the woman said she and her husband had been walking to their car when a man approached them to ask for a ride. When the couple declined, the stranger grabbed the woman's bag, which contained her casino winnings, and ran off with it, according to Madison Police spokesperson Stephanie Fryer.
No arrests have been made amid an ongoing investigation in which police are reviewing digital evidence among other things.
